A turning point?

For a couple of years now, we've always turned out with at least one Village Bakery Organic Carrot cake, without which we would have been unable to photograph a wedding.
However, whilst mooching round Waitrose last week I discovered Ixxy's Fruity Bagel Bars, which come individually wrapped in packs of three. These things are seriously scrummy! And filling! And unlike the carrot cake, they don't make your fingers sticky.
Unfortunately the only supermarket they're sold in is Waitrose, and knowing Waitrose they'll soon discontinue them to make room on the shelves for more dinky little jars of gourmet dolphin-friendly baby octopus eyes in an ethnic marinade of Greek yoghurt, extra-virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar with a dash of sherry, so we're really not sure at the moment what we'll be taking to our 2006 weddings ...

Anybody got any ideas for something cakey or sort-of-cakey that's (a) made from wholesome ingredients (b) readily available (c) easy to eat on the hoof without making your fingers sticky (d) tasty and (e) preferably home-freezable?
